39 NEW COVID-19 CASES; TOTAL NOW AT 501 — DOH

THERE are 39 new Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health on Tuesday morning.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire confirmed there are now 501 COVID-19 cases in the country.

However, there is also an additional recovered patient to 19.

The total number of fatalities is still 33.

The health department feared the number of cases may still go up later in the day when the DOH holds its regular briefing.

The Luzon-wide community enhanced quarantine is still being implemented in the country to contain the Covid-19 spread. This means that public transportation and other services have shut down temporarily until next month.
